Testimonials

Bill Neckman, the Neuromuscular Massage Therapist in residence at Downtown Chiropractic, is superb. I've had hundreds of massages in my life from many highly regarded therapists. What Bill does goes far beyond traditional massages he can actually fix what ails you. For example, I had some very uncomfortable tightness on the left side of my chest. I'd been to several doctors, thinking that I might in fact be having a heart issue. They couldn't find anything, but it was very uncomfortable, and had been with me for years. During a session with Bill, I described the issue. He did some very deep work that lasted about 10 minutes, and the pain is now gone. I've never met anyone that knows the body, how it moves, and how to fix things like Bill. I can't recommend him highly enough. The only thing I would say, is that if you want a relaxing massage, go to a Spa, but if you have a musculoskeletal issue that you need help with, see Bill. The chiropractor he works with, Glen Bobker, is also excellent.

For the past 21 years, because of my Restless Leg Syndrome, I had suffered night after night trying to find comfort on my couch or lying in bed.  Nothing seemed to work…Until I met you. After just one session with you I noticed a huge difference with my Restless Leg Syndrome. After ONLY my third visit, I find myself 100% cured.

Truly Amazing!!! I can’t thank you enough.  You’ve made watching television, sleeping and more importantly, my entire life ENJOYALE once again!!!

Thank you so much!

After 15 years of suffering from fibromyalgia, I am feeling much better, thanks to Bill Neckman. When it was diagnosed 15 years ago my rheumatologist recommended Therapeutic Massage to relieve the pain. I found a good massage therapist, but then she moved out of town. I tried many other therapists since then, with no relief. Then one day I noticed a Therapeutic Massage sign outside a nearby chiropractor in my neighborhood.  After one session I felt significantly better and  signed up for a series of ten more treatments. I went weekly and now I feel tremendously better. I had no idea massage could help so much. Since starting my massage regimen, I have lost 15 pounds, began to play golf and started training with a personal trainer. Now I tell everyone about Bill. After waiting 15 years, my tissues feel like they have oxygen in them again. I went in a shriveled old lady and came out breathing again. It greatly reduced the pain. I have signed up for another ten therapy sessions and am going every other week now. I'm very confident that I can keep my fibromyalgia under control and live an active lifestyle.

Bill is the most wonderful person: professional, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. I recommend him highly to anyone with fibromyalgia or any other ailment.

In July of 2009, I was doing heavy barbell curls in the gym when I felt a sharp pain in the left side of my neck. In the days and weeks that followed, the pain moved from the left side to the right side. It went from sharp to dull. But it never went away. From that day forward, I spent more than 9 months looking for a massage therapist who did neuromuscular re-educaion ---- which is basically massage therapy on steroids. Unable to find anyone who did NMR, I went from one massage therapist to another. To put it midlly, it was painfully obvious that none of them knew what they were doing. You see, it wasn't just my neck. It was my neck, my back, my hips, legs-- all the damage I'd done to my body over years of playing rugby, being greedy in the weight room, and now working 12+ hour days as a lawyer. But in spite of all this, some massage therapists would spend 50 minutes working on my back and then tell me how everything seemed great. But I knew everything wasn't great. I knew that I had done lots of damage to my body and needed someone who could fix all of this. Really, somone who could heal me. Through good fortune or serendipity, I found Bill. And from day 1, I knew this guy was the real deal. I'll put it this way: As far as I know, there are only 2 people in the country who are true masters of NMR. Bill is one of them. This guy has saved me from finding myself in a wheelchair at age 50.

My name is Rachel and I am a 42 year-old athletic woman. I have been a runner most of my life, in 2009 I began to train for a triathalon. On June 13,2009, while cycling I was forced off the road by a driver who was not paying attention. I saw the car and tried my best to swerve out of the way but I could not get back on to the road. Thank G-d the car missed me but I smashed into some trees. This was a near death experience that came with great physical and emotional problems. At the time of the accident, My shoulder came out of the socket, I experienced whip lash and I had immediate shooting pain down my arm and my neck. I was rushed to the hospital. I went to many specialists throughout the year. I tore my labrum, and severely herniated discs in my neck. I continued to experience numbness, shooting pain, wrist pain and my whole body was out of whack. I often felt my head was jammed into my neck and my range of motion was very limited. I wanted to be able to work out and run again! My prognosis did not look good as the Orthopedic surgeon and the Neurosurgeon recommended surgery. However, after hearing the negative possible results of surgery; I wanted another option. Then, I spoke with a friend who said, “You should go to this Neuromuscular Therapist that I see. He is amazing.” I asked his name and she said, “Bill Neckman”. I chuckled when I heard his name. How perfect…The Neck Man. I said to myself that’s what I need. I need a Neck Man!

Well, Bill Neckman lives up to his name! It’s as if he was named to this kind of work. He is a healer and knows how to relieve the pain and spasms associated with my neck, shoulder and spine injury. He is very knowledgeable in the area of trigger points and understands what needs to be done to relieve pain and discomfort. Thanks to Bill, I am now able to bike and run again. Occasionally, I have areas such as very tight calf muscles, jaw pain, hip and lower back that lockdown but after Bill works on me I find great relief! Sometimes my body gets out of alignment, twisted so tight and somehow Mr. Neckman manages to put everything back in its place. This treatment is unlike any other that I have experienced. I know this type of therapy is so healthy for my body, healing my injuries first but just as important I find that with regular treatments I experience long periods of pain free movement, greatly improved range of motion, calmer nerves and a general sense of well being. Bill is a pleasure to be around. He is compassionate, and an expert in Neuruomuscluar healing. One of the bonuses of Bill Neckman is his sense of humor. I enjoy going to see him on many levels. Bill has made a huge difference in my life! If you have any questions, please contact me through Downtown Chiropractic Center. 954.463.1166
